Cedar Ridge Athletics Booster Club

In last night’s meeting of the football booster club, we elected officers for the 2012-2013 year. Please congratulate if you see them:

There are many more volunteer hours needed in addition to the officer’s duties. Stay tuned as we move into the summer and start organizing for our first Varsity season!

The first meeting of the CRHS Baseball Booster Club will be Wednesday, May 16th at 6:30pm 7:00pm in room D120. We will be discussing several items in relation to forming our booster club. If you have any questions, contact Coach Trojacek.

Due to a change in practice for Stony Point, we are now able to allow our athletes to come to Cedar Ridge for their physical starting at 5:00.

Simply this means, your athlete can come at any time from 5:00PM – 7:30PM to get their physical, $20.00. Remember, we are also having a heart screen tomorrow night as well. The cost for the heart screen is an additional $10.00.

We will have 17 healthcare professionals here to perform the physicals for your athlete. We will also have orthopedists here to take care of the musculoskeletal part of the exam.

If your son or daughter has not turned in their paperwork, please do so immediately. They do not have to have their physical completed by the doctor, but the other three pages are to be completed and returned.

We had our first Raider QB Club meeting last night, and had a nice turnout! Thank you to everyone that came out to kick off our new booster club! We are excited about next year and all we can do for our athletes.

If you are interested in an executive board role within the new Raider QB Club, you can email Coach Ford, Tanya, or Lynlie and we will add your name to the ballot.

Executive Board positions include:

• President
• Vice President
• Secretary
• Treasurer

Our next meeting will be Wednesday, May 16th at 6:30. That is the same day the athletic physicals will be given at Cedar Ridge. Bring your son out for physicals, and join us at the Booster meeting! We will be voting in officers at that time. Nominees must be present at the meeting, but we will also take nominations from the floor. There will also be sign-up sheets for many other volunteering opportunities for our wonderful Raider Football parents! Hope to see you there!

Area Baseball Play-Offs:

The original series at Corsicana has changed due to rain. These are the new details for the play-off series:

• Cedar Ridge will travel to Whitehouse tonight (Friday) for game 1 of a 3 game series. Game time is 7:30pm.
• Cedar Ridge will be at home tomorrow (Saturday) 4pm for game 2 vs Whitehouse. Game 3 would be 30 minutes after if needed.

This is our chance to support our baseball team here in Round Rock! See you there!

We will have a summer baseball meeting for incoming 9th grade players and their parents on Wednesday May 9th at 6:30 pm in Room F122 at Cedar Ridge High School.  If you have any questions or cannot make the meeting please email me at jeremy_trojacek@roundrockisd.org.

The Cedar Ridge Baseball team has advanced to the area round playoffs and will play Whitehouse this week. We will play a 3 game series starting Friday at 7 pm…..Game 2 will be at 2 pm on Saturday and Game 3 will be 30 minutes after Game 2 if needed. All games will be played at Corsicana High School. We appreciate all of the support this past weekend and look forward to seeing you in Corsicana.

We are looking for a few good men and women to help us make the 2012 – 2013 a successful year for our Raiders.

The CRHS Volleyball Booster Club will conduct its first meeting on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 6:00 pm in the Athletic Classroom at CRHS.  We will be electing officers for the 2012-13 school year.

Future Raider Softball Player,

I hope you are all excited about the possibility of playing softball for Cedar Ridge High School. In our first year as a Varsity team, we made it to the Play-offs! The bar has been set and a tradition of winning is in the making. If you are an incoming freshman, you will need to register for the softball class next fall and have your physical paperwork up to date. I strongly advise that you participate in our Weight and Speed Camp offered this summer. Not only is it a great way to meet other athletes and coaches, but it will give you a good foundation upon entering high school. Below are some camp options for you this summer. Have a great summer break and I look forward to next season!
